Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 May 2026

Medical Terms is an educational iOS app for medical terminology study and revision. This policy explains what information the app stores and how third-party services are used.

Information stored on your device

The app stores study progress, saved terms, deck choices, reminder preferences, onboarding choices, and local entitlement state on your device. The bundled medical terminology database is included with the app and is not uploaded by the app.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases, restores, subscription status, and entitlement validation may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat. Apple handles payment details. Medical Terms does not receive or store full payment card information.

Analytics

The app may use PostHog to understand app usage, paywall events, purchase attempts, restore attempts, quiz completion, search activity, and onboarding flow performance. Analytics are used to improve the app and debug product issues.

Paywall services

The app may use Superwall to present paywalls, offers, experiments, and related purchase screens. Superwall may receive app interaction events needed to display and measure paywall performance.

Notifications

If you enable study reminders, iOS local notifications are scheduled on your device. You can disable reminders in the app or in iOS Settings.

Support email

If you contact support, your email address and message content are used only to respond to the request and maintain support records.

Data sharing

Data may be processed by Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, Superwall, and hosting providers where necessary to operate purchases, analytics, support, and app pages. Data is not sold.
